Aalfs has long been a trusted name in the apparel manufacturing industry. Established in 1892 in Sioux City, Iowa, this fourth-generation family-owned business has become known for our innovation, reliability, high-quality standards, + partnerships that span decades. Throughout the years, we’ve remained privately held + financially sound, even while expanding our Midwestern work ethics to our wholly owned + dedicated manufacturing facilities in Mexico + Nicaragua.
Today, we proudly employ 150 Associates in the United States, + 4,500 people worldwide. This includes our facilities in Mexico + Nicaragua as well as sales and marketing offices in Dallas and a distribution center in Mena, Arkansas. 2003 | Begin full-service manufacturing facilities in Nicaragua
1992 | Begin full-service manufacturing facilities in Mexico
1985 | Establishes Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program
1952 | Begin exclusively manufacturing denim + twill
WWII | Receive enough denim on an allotment to continue producing; produces for the military as well
1941 | 75+ menswear items are being produced, including shirts, pants, sweaters, ties, gloves, caps, suspenders + shoe strings
